Markham's Community Robotics Team

Is this like Battlebots?
(a frequently asked question)
2022 robot closeup
FIRST Robotics is not about making over-the-top armored and weaponized robots to battle in arena deathmatchs. What we do can be just as entertaining to watch and fun to participate in, and even more complex! We participate in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), an international high school robotics competition. The game involves alliances comprised of 3 teams competing against opposing alliances to score points, using their own 125-lb. controller-operated robots.

Our Sponsors
Everything that we do would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors. Between tournament registration, robot parts, transportation, outreach expenses, and more, our annual operating budget is between $17000 and $40000. Our sponsors primarily provide monetary contributions, but in-kind donations such as materials and tools, in-store discounts, or build/storage space for team operations are all tremendously impactful. Any and all forms of support are welcome and appreciated.
